My fascination with music began at an early age. Growing up I was entranced by top 40 radio, LPs of the 60s, 70s & 80s as well as all forms of modern music. In my teenage years I began writing music and quickly discovered I had an appreciation for the art of engineering. By age 17, I was recording daily on a 4 track cassette recorder.
Today, with over 2 decades of recording experience under my belt and having had my own songs on radio, in films, video games and commercials, I still feel that same enthusiasm that captured me as a teenager.
In 2001, I decided to build Skylab. My goal was to create a space where I could help others to pursue their unique creative visions. After an incredible 15 year run in Encino, California, I relocated the studio to Joshua Tree in 2016.
